In April 2014, I attempted to climb Mt. Everest before an avalanche in the icefall claimed the lives of 18 Sherpa. A year later (May 2015), I returned to Mt. Everest only to witness a 7.8 earthquake while at camp 1. I am preparing to climb again in April 2018 but this blog is dedicated to my purposeful pursuits. Please be sure to check out the charities that I support and follow me on twitter (@pem725) or instagram (pem725).

Successful swim - great adventure with more details to follow
Hey all. We had an epic adventure. I thank all my crew for their hard, sleep-deprived effort for the sake of getting me safely across the Catalina Channel. I have many details to fill in for the next few posts so stay tuned. Also, Kat took video, scores of pictures, and has her own comments to share. So expect those shortly. It is 4:30am PDT and I am headed to the airport - courtesy of Anders and his unwavering support for my adventure. He will be the first to admit that this whole thing was an adventure for us all. Right Anders? OK, more later. Thanks for the kind words everyone. I am humbled by the support. Off for another adventure with a middle seat back home. See you all soon.
